I am Iván Ciudad
Software Developer & Telematics Engineer
In the workplace, I consider myself a highly communicative and proactive person. I don't hesitate to take leadership when the situation requires it, and I thoroughly enjoy sharing knowledge and helping my colleagues grow, always fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
My origin as a programmer goes back to high school, when in computer class we were challenged to create a small video game. That experience ignited a spark that led me to develop my first real application: a grade calculator to manage my studies. Verifying the practical utility of code was what finally hooked me.
Passions and Disconnection
Video games are one of my great passions: World of Warcraft, The Witcher 3, Dark Souls, League of Legends... I consciously decided not to work professionally in their development to keep that world as my place of disconnection.
My favorite way to disconnect is gathering with friends around a table: from board game sessions to long Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. And for balance, walking and the gym are my fundamental pillars.
On the couch, I'm an unconditional fan of Star Wars and El Señor de los Anillos. My favorites list includes Juego de Tronos, Breaking Bad, Naruto y Clone Wars, without forgetting the Christmas marathon of Harry Potter.
Hardware and Building
That curiosity for how things work extends to hardware. I love building my own computers from parts, cleaning them, measuring voltages, and squeezing their performance through overclocking.
Continuing with that "building" facet, my favorite hobby is putting together LEGO sets; a hobby that, although expensive, I am so passionate about that it once made me seriously consider studying architecture because of my love for structures and design.
